Second Pass Saws Upgrades

Globe has designed an upgraded feature for the 13H second pass saw that can be retrofitted to existing saws. The retrofit involves removing the existing headshaft and drive and installing the new drive components on the existing machines chain skids. A new electrical panel for the vector drives is also part of the package. Whether or not a dedicated PLC would be needed would be considered on a case by case basis.
The benefits to the plants will be:

  1. Faster set up times when changing panels sizes (no headshaft to clean and no drag as a result)
  2. Less down time and maintenance dollars for time and parts spent correcting out of tolerance issues.
