Job Title: CNC Machinist
Department: Machine Shop
Reports To: Production Manager
General Summary:
We are looking for first and
second shifts positions to join our team. We are looking for machinists with
the capability to do manual and automated machining.
Duties And
Responsibilities:
Lathe -
-
Must be able to read & work from blueprints/schematics and perform task
within budget hours.

Must be Knowledgeable on Fanuc, and or Okuma controls.
-
Knowledgeable on Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance.
-
Capable of selecting and preparing tooling, and conducting first article
inspections, and make required offset changes to complete set-ups.
-
Must be able to operate and set-up on conventional & CNC Lathes to very
close tolerances.

Must be able to dial in a four jaw chuck.
-
Must have experience in thread cutting (Major, minor, pitch diameters).
-
Must be capable of cutting various types of threads (Acme, Square, Stub
Acme, Lh and Rh standard threads, Class2 & Class 3.

Understanding of speeds and feeds, and machine codes.
-
Experienced in working with various types of materials (Stainless, Leadloy,
Brass, Delrin, 1045, 1050, Etc.)
-
Comfortable running one off parts and small production runs.
-
Have good math skills (Trig, Geometry, Etc.)
-
Must be able to read various measuring tools (i.e. calipers, micrometer &
bore gauges).
-
Able to operate overhead cranes using proper pick points.
-
Must be able to safely lift 50-lb.
Mill –
-
Must be able to read & work from blueprints/schematics and perform task
within budget hours.
-
Must be Knowledgeable on Fanuc, and or Vickers 2100 controls.
-
Knowledgeable on Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance.
-
Capable of selecting and preparing tooling, and conduct first article
inspections, and make required offset changes to complete set-ups using
knees, angle plates, parallels, etc.
-
Must be able to dial in 8” vice & turntable.
-
Experienced in doing own set-ups on vertical or horizontal mills.
-
Understanding of speeds and feeds, and machine codes.
-
Experienced in working with various types of materials (Stainless, Leadloy,
Brass, Delrin, 1045, 1050, Etc.)
-
Have worked with small and large fabricated and cast parts.
-
Comfortable running one off parts and small production runs.
-
Have good math skills (Trig, Geometry, Etc.)
-
Capable of setting parts up in the Free State to minimize warping.
-
Familiar with 4th Axis (rotary tables).
-
Must be able to read various measuring tools (i.e. calipers, micrometer &
bore gauges).
-
Able to operate overhead cranes using proper pick points.
-
Must be able to safely lift 50-lb.
Qualifications:
Individuals must have a
minimum 3yrs exp. as a machinist in job shop environment.
