The Globe composites team has been busy trialing various composite material forms in the RapidClave® environment during the past month. Curing and forming of Arkema’s Elium® liquid thermoplastic resin system, fast-cure thermoset prepregs for automotive appearance parts, and resin film infusion of dry laminates are on the list of cure and consolidation possibilities within the highly flexible RapidClave® process environment. To expand RapidClave® tooling options, RocTool induction heating technology will be integrated in Globe’s Tacoma, WA composites lab in the October-November timeframe. We are consistently advancing our process technology offerings through our excellent material supplier and technology partner relationships!
