We are proud to announce the successful start-up of a Globe Machine Roll Handling & Strapping System at the Kruger Trois-Rivières, Quebec mill. This system is part of a revamp which Kruger refers to as the "Transformation 2017" project. The mill was converted from a newsprint production plant to a specialized containerboard plant for the packaging industry. More information can be found on

The end of April saw a new Shuffler completed and shipped as part of an OSB manufacturing line upgrade taking place in the Southern USA. Shufflers rotate a stack of panels on edge for inspection and easy removal (if warranted) after which they are squared up, laid flat, and conveyed to the next station.
Other recent orders for this sector include two 42-inch Veneer Hogs, both of which are replacing models which have been in continuous service since the 1970's.

Jim Martin, Director, will be attending the Sampe Tech Conference in Seattle, WA on May 25th. He will be discussing Globe’s latest high-rate, high-volume continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic tape formatting and conversion process solutions w, as well as next evolutions of RapidClave® process heating/cooling and tooling configurations.
The State of Washington has recognized Globe Machine Manufacturing Corporation as an officially designated Century Corporation, having kept its corporate status with the State of Washington for 100 years. Globe was officially registered for the first time on February 17, 1917. Of the 3500 incorporations filed in Washington in 1917, only 26 exist today.
